'Mumoor' - Intro Chord Progression/Voicings |
This moody sounding chord progression is the very first thing that can be heard on our '15th Anniversary' album. Most
of the chords are derived from the 'Eastern' sounding scale of D Spanish
Phrygian or D Phrygian dominant - if you prefer it's other name!. The majority of the voicings are 'open' i.e. they sound and are formed in a very classical way. I have always loved this style of chord voicing - I guess it comes from hearing my late Mother playing the Piano so much when I was growing up. Anyway, the entire progression should be played fingerstyle throughout - enjoy!... Phil Hilborne... |
